Service Description

In this flexible program, students build navigation skills through a blend of at-home learning and guided field studies while exploring how maps, coordinates, landmarks, and technology help us understand the world around us. Through weekly lessons, navigation challenges, GPS practice, scavenger hunts, and live geocaching adventures, learners connect geography, problem solving, observation, and real-world application. Rooted in both science and Scripture, Desert Quest equips students to understand not only how to navigate with confidence, but why curiosity, perseverance, and stewardship matter in every environment. Students leave with: • A personal field journal • Practical map and coordinate skills • Experience using GPS and navigation tools • A deeper understanding of exploration and responsibility
